Sometimes, a glamorous career conceals some of the darkest tales. Lolo Jones, winner of USA and World hurdles, has earned the status he has achieved after years of hard work and incredible patience. A single mother within a household of five children, Jones had a difficult and impoverished childhood. Her mother lived along the street and was even living inside the basement of a local church at one point. Jones her nomadic life forced her to change school every year up to high school. At Theodore Roosevelt High School, Jones was separated from her mother to pursue her passion for track events. Jones was a member of four different families in order to focus on her studies. Jones was one of the best hurdlers in her age group at the time she entered college. She became the winning athlete in the 100-meter hurdles at the NCAA Track & Field Championship. In addition, she was a part of the runner up team for 100-meter relay. Jones was the winner of both indoor hurdles and the outdoor hurdles at the NCAA Championship in 2003. Jones was a professional athlete when she graduated in 2005. her education. Jones began training to prepare for a career in track. Brandt was born and raised in Cape Town in South Africa. She immigrated to Auckland New Zealand with her family when she was in her teens. Brandt, found by local casting agents and was cast in the character of Naevia on the Starz blockbusters Spartacus Blood and Sand and Spartacus Gods of the Arena. In collaboration with the producers Steven S. D Knight and Sam Raimi she captivated audiences by her acting and was one of the show's breakout starlets. Lesley Brandt appeared as Naevia a young hostage in the Television series Spartacus: Blood and Sand. The character was shown in Spartacus: Gods of the Arena.
