Yael Stein, who is Australian and lives in New York City since 2013 She played Lorna Morrello in Orange Is the New Black. Yael was awarded her NIDA degree. Yael enjoyed the privilege to have the opportunity to work with some of Australia's most renowned storytellers. She has worked behind-the-scenes in television, film and the theatre. Yael has had a long and successful career with a thriving career in Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael was pleased to have found her new home after the Brooklyn Academy of Music, which was the venue where the production premiered to great acclaim, moved to her new home in New York City. Yael established The Cannery with her co-founders. From an Bushwick, Brooklyn studio, The Cannery promotes new writing, innovative creative projects and assists in the development of young writers.
