Samantha Mohr
Mohr Mohr, an UGA student, who recommended her that she enter into Miss Columbus 1985 pageant, was the winner. Her win allowed her to participate in the Miss Georgia pageant in June 1985. Mohr won her title as Miss Georgia 1985 on Saturday 22 June 1985. Her earnings were more than $3,500 in scholarship funds and various prize money from the state pageant. Her title was Miss Georgia as well as made public appearances all over Georgia as part of her duties. Mohr was a representative of Georgia in Miss America 1986 in Atlantic City (New Jersey) in September 1985. Computer-generated models successfully identified the possibility that Susan Akin would be named Miss America, Mohr's odds were set at 22 to 1. Mohr wasn't a top 10 finalist for the title of Miss America. Mohr's tenure being Miss Georgia Miss Georgia continued until Marlesa Ball was crowned Miss Georgia 1986.
